The German Communist party found themselves in some serious hot water this week when what is usually a nice charitable deed ended up going seriously awry. The party who usually give kids a cone filled with sweets as they start the new school year, opted for what they thought were 'light-up' pens.

However when the kids started to try out their new writing instruments, they discovered they were actually the type of pens you get on Blackpool Pleasure Beach where the scantily clad woman drops her knickers upon releasing the nib of the pen. Stylish.

Needless to say, the parents and the school in Nessen were not impressed and the German Communist Party are now trying to blame the vendors who sold them the pens. Isn't it easier to check them first?
