PREMIER LEAGUE ENCOURAGE READING

Yesterday the Duchess of Cornwall made an appearance at the Emirates Stadium in north London to promote a reading initiative for school kids with the Arsenal star Theo Walcott. Also in attendance were kids from local schools who may be encouraged to read more if they see the likes of Walcott and his Arsenal teammates.

According to the Press Association the Premier League Reading Stars (PLRS) is an initiative ‘to encourage youngsters and their parents to enhance their literary skills.’22 year old Walcott has already penned books for children about TJ a rising football star.

For a look into what our premier league stars consider their favourite books take a peep at the list below. But be warned, classic on the pitch doesn’t necessarily mean classic from the bookshelf.
