NEW KIT FOR THE LADS

NEW KIT FOR THE LADS

More known for his Factory Records cover art than he is his fashion designing, Manchester's Peter Saville has designed the new England shirt in conjunction with clothing company, Umbro, who are based close to Manchester in Cheadle.

A version of this kit will also be made for the womens national team as well. The kit will also be available in stores from October 12th.

The design focuses on Engand's diversity and will be worn tonight when the team kicks off their Europe 2012 qualifying rounds against Bulgaria at Wembley. Talking about the new strip Saville said "Both the nation and the fans themselves are more diverse than ever before – whether that’s differences in politics, religion, ethnicity, fashions, music and art. We are now one of the most culturally diverse nations in the world."

The new strip reflects this.
